Standard Features

• Saw Frame Travel: Saw frame travel is done by using an AC servo motor coupled with ball screw. This system offers high smooth, pulse free feeding speed. This system with high torque and low speed capability provides smooth, pulse free feeding speed from 2 mpm to 2000 mpm for rapid travel. Furthermore, this extra wide saw frame gives a solid, vibration free support to the blade.
• Linear Guide Way: The saw frame rides on the dual linear guide way. This design allows the saw frame a rigid base to ensure the smoothest feeding proceed with high guide precision, small friction and long service life.
• Robust Machine Structure: The machine structure is designed under the ragged consideration to allow the heavier cutting load and larger cutting capacity when compared to other brands.
• Hydraulic Vise Clamping: Cosen SVC-50220 uses two sets of cylinder vise, respectively located at the opposite sides of the blade, to clamp and unclamp the work piece. Clamping and unclamping can be controlled from the control panel without any need of manual operation to approach the vise to the material.
• Hydraulic Vise Feeding In & Out: Both front (outfeed) and rear (infeed) vises can clamp and help feed the material towards and away from the sawing line. The infeed vise has a stroke distance of 500 mm; the outfeed vise 390 mm. Each vise assembly bed rides over linear guide ways, is driven hydraulically and can be controlled independently to help finely align the material for cutting from either direction of the saw, making positioning super easy.
• Roller Workbed Design: The workbed is sturdily constructed to sustain heavy weight with both infeed and outfeed table of length 1090 mm. The workbed features in a roller bed design composed of eight (8) rows by three (3) rollers per row, totaled 24 precision ground idle rollers to facilitate a smooth material feeding.
• Hydraulic Guide Arm: The guide arm is hydraulically controlled from the operator's station, allowing the operator to move the carbide guides as close to the material as possible to ensure a more steady blade entry to the material. Guide arm height range: 240 – 550 mm.
• Inverter-Controlled Blade Speed: The power source for the saw blade comes from a 7.5 kW motor with a high-precision speed reducer. Meanwhile, SVC-50220 uses a highly efficient inverter to control steplessly the blade speed from 15 to 80 M/min. These specially built mechanisms are combined to offer an extensive speed range, which is easily adjustable on the control panel.
• Hydraulic Blade Tension: On SVC-50220, the automatic hydraulic tensioning device is used to easily control and adjust the blade tension. It is a separate hydraulic system, which allows the blade tension to be released to a slightly slacken mode to avoid elastic fatigue when the machine hydraulics are shut down. As the blade tension is slightly released when the machine is idle, this results in longer blade life. This hydraulic blade tension system provides a large easy to read pressure gauge, makes changing saw blade easy and convenient.
• Hydraulic Carbide Blade Guides: The hydraulic actuated Tungsten Carbide blade guides are used for clamping and giving support to the blade during cutting. The carbide guides are automatically activated upon blade start and provides continual self-adjusting blade support for straight cuts. The design of carbide guides relieved to facilitate coolant flow thru the guides for extended blade life.
• Vibration Damper: Vibration damper can effectively reduce blade vibration produced under high-speed cutting. Especially for cutting small materials on bandsaws of large width capacity, the vibration damper can reduce blade vibration, increase cutting rate, and enable smooth cut-off surfaces.
• Control Station with 10" HMI Screen: SVC-50220 comes with an independent control station with an ergonomically designed, user-friendly control panel. Accessible via a staircase, the independent control station is located at the same height as the workbed giving the operator a clear overview of the sawing area and ease of control. The 10" HMI touch screen integrates control buttons such as guide arms, carbide guides clamp/unclamp, last cut function into one touch screen and displays important cutting information, such as blade speed, blade life, error feedback and PLC signal monitor. Controls for hydraulics ON/OFF and movement of vises are controlled via switches and buttons located on control panel. Precision Feed Pressure control valve with micro-precision adjustment.
• Last Cut Function: The "Last Cut" function available from all Cosen semi-automatic plate saws is very convenient for the users. Once this function is turned on, the machine along with the hydraulics can automatically shut off at the end of the cut, saving energy for the customer.
• Powered Wire Brush.
